A message from the Jackson PTA

Dear Jackson Families, 

As we embark on another exciting school year, the George A. Jackson PTA extends a warm welcome to both our new and returning families. We are thrilled to have you as part of our vibrant school community and are looking forward to an incredible 2025-2026 school year filled with engaging events, enriching programs, and unforgettable experiences for our students, staff, and families.

Our PTA is a non-profit group of parent volunteers. We partner with our principal, Dr. Rivera, teachers, staff, parents, and local organizations to enhance our school environment and foster a supportive community.

We invite you to get involved in a way that best suits your interests and availability. There are many ways to contribute:

• PTA Membership:  Your contribution of $12 supports our initiatives and gives you a voice in PTA decisions.
• General Volunteer: Offer your time and skills to help with various events and activities.
• Class Captain: Coordinate with teachers and families to support classroom needs.
• Committee Chairperson: Lead specific areas such as community service, fundraising, events, or programs.
• Join our Executive Board: Take on a leadership role and help guide our PTA's direction.

Join the NYS PTA
Each adult family member can join the PTA ($12 per member). Your membership helps fund many of the special activities and events we have planned throughout the year - including picnics, special class lunches, author visits, and many other exciting events! 
•    Our goal is to have 100% of Jackson families join the PTA!
